VALA Eastside is pleased to announce that for September and October 2015 Maura Donegan will be VALA’s Artist in Residence.  As a textile artist, Maura’s work combines cloth making, embroidery and poetry to express a sense of innocence, joy and beauty.  “We’re grateful for the generous grant provided by the Redmond Arts Commission to allow VALA Eastside to bring talented, local artists to the art center and to allow the community to witness the artist’s process of creating an installation from start to finish,” says Jessica Lambert, Founder and Executive Director of VALA Eastside.

VALA Eastside encourages the community to visit Maura at the VALA Art Center, learn about her process and help make art that will be incorporated into a larger public art “cloud”, entitled “Silver Linings”, that will be installed during the month of October.
