Join him on one of Redmond's <br><br>The tour begins at 1 PM, on the sidewalk in front of the Justice White House, at the west end of Redmond Town Center, where the Saturday Market is held, at 7730 Leary Way. Suggested donation of $10 per person. <br><br><i>The tour will be cancelled if it rains. <description><![CDATA[<a href="http://experienceredmond.com/events/three-part-series-on-the-art-of-journaling/"><h5>Three Part Series on the Art of Journaling</h5></a><p class="gray">Thursday, May 23rd<br /><p>Join local artist Stephanie Upton for a three part class series on the wonderful, textural and visual world of journaling.<br><br>Expand your possibilities for communication, self-discovery and record keeping through the combination of words and pictures! During three Thursday evening sessions (May 16, 23 + June 6) from 7-8:30pm at the VALA Art Center, 7303 164th Ave NE in Redmond, Stephanie will show participants how to fearlessly conquer mixed media, found objects while bravely altering existing books to create a personal journal of our lives. <br><br>The class series is open to all ages. Participants are asked to bring a sturdy blank book and a $10 suggested donation for each class. Stephanie Upton is a local artist, illustrator and educator who has been keeping artist's journals and scrapbooks for fourteen years. As an artist, she has found her journals to be a valuable resource when it comes to brainstorming ideas or reflecting and making sense of events in my own life. "To me storytelling and art are inseparable. Giving others the chance to tell their own stories is both deeply gratifying and incredibly fun." <br><br><i>The VALA Art Center is located at 7303 164th Ave, NE in Redmond Town Center. During three Thursday evening sessions (May 16, 23 + June 6) from 7-8:30pm at the VALA Art Center, 7303 164th Ave NE in Redmond, Stephanie will show participants how to fearlessly conquer mixed media, found objects while bravely altering existing books to create a personal journal of our lives. <br><br>The class series is open to all ages. Participants are asked to bring a sturdy blank book and a $10 suggested donation for each class. Stephanie Upton is a local artist, illustrator and educator who has been keeping artist's journals and scrapbooks for fourteen years. As an artist, she has found her journals to be a valuable resource when it comes to brainstorming ideas or reflecting and making sense of events in my own life. "To me storytelling and art are inseparable. Sign them up for Stone Soup's popular week-long youth drama camps at Marymoor Park! <br><br>The many new camps this year include: <br>Princesses and Dragons and Magical World of Dr. Seuss camp for ages 4 and 5, Where Are the Wild Things? and Tikki Tikki Tembo for ages 5-7, and Cyborg Saga: Alien Encounters (For Star Trek fans), The Enormous Crocodile, and Eating Green Eggs and Ham with the Cat in the Hat for ages 6-8 &amp; 8-13, in addition to tried-and-true story-time favorites like The Dark Portal (especially for Harry Potter fans), Willie Wonka &amp; the Chocolate Factory, a special Tempest and Clowning Around for teens allowing for sleeping in (12pm-5pm), musicals, Greek myths and MUCH more! <br><br>Sign your little one up. Bring the whole family &amp; friends with a picnic lunch to enjoy the final performances (every Friday, usually 11am or 1pm).
