Much of Redmond's history can be gleaned from the stories known about our town's oldest buildings, and Tom Hitzroth is a master at telling them. Join him on one of Redmond's

The tour begins at 1 PM, on the sidewalk in front of the Justice White House, at the west end of Redmond Town Center, where the Saturday Market is held, at 7730 Leary Way. Suggested donation of $10 per person.

The tour will be cancelled if it rains. Please confirm the tour will take place by calling 425-556-2415 between 8:00 and 11:00AM on the morning of the tour to confirm that the tour hasn't been cancelled.

Three Part Series on the Art of Journaling

Join local artist Stephanie Upton for a three part class series on the wonderful, textural and visual world of journaling.

Expand your possibilities for communication, self-discovery and record keeping through the combination of words and pictures! During three Thursday evening sessions (May 16, 23 + June 6) from 7-8:30pm at the VALA Art Center, 7303 164th Ave NE in Redmond, Stephanie will show participants how to fearlessly conquer mixed media, found objects while bravely altering existing books to create a personal journal of our lives.

The class series is open to all ages. Participants are asked to bring a sturdy blank book and a $10 suggested donation for each class. Stephanie Upton is a local artist, illustrator and educator who has been keeping artist's journals and scrapbooks for fourteen years. As an artist, she has found her journals to be a valuable resource when it comes to brainstorming ideas or reflecting and making sense of events in my own life. "To me storytelling and art are inseparable. Giving others the chance to tell their own stories is both deeply gratifying and incredibly fun."

The VALA Art Center is located at 7303 164th Ave, NE in Redmond Town Center. VALA [Venues For Artists in the Local Area] is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to connecting artists to artists, artists to the community and the community to art.

Since the introduction of this event in 2005, Triple Crown has only been affected by inclement weather one time. With premier "TURF" facilities spread throughout the Greater Seattle Area and additional weather resources, this event has been built to withstand the elements! Be prepared to play some great baseball over Memorial weekend!

Teams in the 9-18 year ages will get the top level organization and programming of Triple Crown Sports (rain or shine), and the coveted berths to the World Series in Steamboat Springs, CO (9's,11's,13's,14's) or Park City, UT (10s',12's) later this Summer.

In conjunction with the Redmond Clay Studio Artist Installation (Works in Clay by the Teachers and Their Students), VALA Art Center will hold an Art Talk and Wine Night.

Join us as we create a casual and fun environment to inspire conversation and appreciation of the art.

*There is a $5 suggested donation for this event to help support future community events like these at the VALA Art Center.

The Redmond Clay Studio operates out of the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center and is run by the City of Redmond Parks & Recreation Department under the direction of Damian Grava. This installation features a selection of clay works by the teachers and their students presented in various arrangements.

The Washington Brewer’s festival is a unique all-age beer festival where thousands of beer aficionados and families gather to celebrate Father’s Day weekend. This year’s event will feature over 250 different beers from 72 different Washington breweries. In addition, the festival offers great food, live music stage, brewer’s keg toss, root beer garden, kids area, craft booths, wine and cider tasting.

Moon Over Buffalo by Ken Ludwig Charlotte and George Hay, an acting couple not exactly the Lunts are on tour in Buffalo in 1953 with a repertory consisting of Cyrano de Bergerac "revised, one nostril version" and Noel Coward's Private Lives. This backstage farce by the author of Lend Me a Tenor brought Carol Burnett back to Broadway co-starring with Philip Bosco as her megalomaniac, drunken husband and leading man. Fate has given these thespians one more shot at starring roles in The Scarlet Pimpernel epic, and director Frank Capra himself is en route to Buffalo to catch their matinee performance. Will Charlotte appear or run off with their agent? Will George be sober enough to emote? Will Capra see Cyrano, Private Lives or a disturbing mixture of the two? Hilarious misunderstandings pile on madcap misadventures in this valentine to Theater Hams everywhere.

Movies at Marymoor

The First Tech Movies at Marymoor presented by Overlake Medical Clinics is King County's premier outdoor movie series.  More than just movies in the park, our  events feature nouveau cirque performers The Cabiri, movie trivia food trucks and your favorite flicks on a giant screen.  The ninth season of the Movies@Marymoor opens Wednesday, July 10 and runs weekly through August 28.

The First Tech Movies at Marymoor presented by Overlake Medical Clinics is King County's premier outdoor movie series.  More than just movies in the park, our  events feature nouveau cirque performers The Cabiri, movie trivia food trucks and your favorite flicks on a giant screen.  The ninth season of the Movies@Marymoor opens Wednesday, July 10 and runs weekly through August 28.
Marymoor Park - 6046 W Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, Redmond, WA.

Times & Activities: Pre-movie seating for the Movies@Maroor is $5 per person / 5 and under free starting at at 7:00 pm and includes live acts, movie trivia, interactive games and more.  Seating is on a first come first served basis so arrive early.  Entertainment starts shortly after 7:00 pm.  Movies start at dusk.

Food Trucks: We’ll have tasty food trucks with hot food, sandwiches, snacks, kettle corn, sweet treats, ice cream and coffee.   Come hungry and get your grub on before the movie.  Outside food and beverage is permitted.

Live Acts: Nouveau cirque performers The Cabiri will entertain every night!

Hosting live performances since 1984, Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Summer Concert Series stands as one of the Pacific Northwest’s great music venues. The annual series features a diverse line-up of top jazz, rock, blues and contemporary artists that are drawn to the intimate Amphitheater setting.

Tickets are sold in the Chateau or through Ticketmaster at face value only. For Ticketmaster, visit any Ticketmaster outlet or call 800.745.3000. The winery is not responsible for tickets or ticket packages sold through other vendors or programs.

Chateau Ste. Michelle offers an annual concert series as an expression of community involvement and support of the arts. Net proceeds from the concert series support our charitable contributions program of long-standing philanthropic partnerships with many local and national charitable organizations.

Movies at Marymoor

Wednesday, August 14th

The First Tech Movies at Marymoor presented by Overlake Medical Clinics is King County's premier outdoor movie series.  More than just movies in the park, our  events feature nouveau cirque performers The Cabiri, movie trivia food trucks and your favorite flicks on a giant screen.  The ninth season of the Movies@Marymoor opens Wednesday, July 10 and runs weekly through August 28.
Marymoor Park - 6046 W Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, Redmond, WA.

Times & Activities: Pre-movie seating for the Movies@Maroor is $5 per person / 5 and under free starting at at 7:00 pm and includes live acts, movie trivia, interactive games and more.  Seating is on a first come first served basis so arrive early.  Entertainment starts shortly after 7:00 pm.  Movies start at dusk.

Food Trucks: We’ll have tasty food trucks with hot food, sandwiches, snacks, kettle corn, sweet treats, ice cream and coffee.   Come hungry and get your grub on before the movie.  Outside food and beverage is permitted.

Live Acts: Nouveau cirque performers The Cabiri will entertain every night!

Dog Friendly:  Well behaved dogs and owners are always welcome.

Trivia: Movie trivia gets you thinking before each film and offers the chance to win great prizes.

Location: King County’s Marymoor Park is located at 6046 W Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, Redmond, WA.  The Outdoor Movies at Marymoor Park take place in the center of the park on the grass of MacNair Field.

About the Outdoor Movies at Marymoor Park: 2013 is the 9th season of the Outdoor Movies at Marymoor Park outdoor cinema series. Movies are projected onto a 40′ inflatable movie screen that turns Marymoor Park into a spectacular outdoor cinema.   The Outdoor Movies at Marymoor Park continue a long tradition of outdoor cinema events in the Pacific Northwest including locations in Seattle, Sammamish, Bellevue, Kirkland and surrounding areas.  The series is produced by Epic Events, a company dedicated to producing community outdoor cinema events throughout the Pacific Northwest.
