SUMMARY:SRA Row for A Day
DESCRIPTION:Row for a Day (RFAD) is a quick and fun three-hour program to introduce youth (going into grade 8-12) and adults (age 18 and up) to the sport of rowing.\n​\nBefore shoving off the dock in eight-person boats to row on the water\, everyone will learn key basics on land. On rowing machines\, participants will learn how to use their legs\, back and arms in proper sequence. Next\, in rowing shells held stationary at the dock by volunteers\, rowers will learn how to get in and out of the boats and how to use an oar.\nOnce the basics are covered\, participants will practice their new skills doing team relays on rowing machines and rowing on our beautiful Lake Sammamish waters. SRA’s coaches and experienced volunteers want everyone to fall in love with rowing\, so rowers can expect lots of help and a great time. \nPlease note that youth and adult Row for a Day participants are usually grouped separately. Parents and kids are welcome to sign up for Row for a Day together but should understand that they likely will not be together for most of the event.

Cancellations or transfers received less than 7 days prior to activity start date receive a 50% refund of activity fee\, or 50% of activity fee transferred to a future program. There are no refunds for cancellations received less than 3 business days before start date. The credit card processing fee is nonrefundable. Exceptions can be made for illness.

Redmond is joining neighboring cities — Issaquah\, North Bend\, Renton\, and Auburn — for an exciting Summer Track & Field season. \nTrack & Field Club is open to all skill levels\, from beginners to more experienced athletes. Participants will compete in age groups and have the opportunity to take part in a variety of events\, including the 50m\, 100m\, 200m\, 400m\, 800m\, and 1600m races\, as well as Turbo Javelin\, Long Jump\, and Ball Throw. There is something for everyone! \nPractices will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:00 pm–6:30 pm at the Redmond High School track stadium. Registration is required. Click here to register. \nThursday practices change to meet days beginning June 18. The 2023 Crossfire Challenge welcomed nearly 630 teams from throughout the United States and Canada.

This Saturday-only league combines practice and game play in one hour\, making it easy\, fun\, and developmentally appropriate for young players. Click here to register. \nLeague Information & Details for Families \nSeason & Schedule \n\nSaturdays\, May 9 – June 20\, 2026 (no session Memorial Day weekend)\nSessions scheduled between 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM\n30-minute practice + 30-minute game each week\nSaturdays only — no weekday practices\n\nLocation: Great Lawn\, located between the Redmond Senior & Community Center and City Hall \nAge Groups (Coed) & Times \n\nAges 3–4: Will play from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.\nAges 5–6: Will play from 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.\nAges 7–8: Will play from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.\n\nAge groups and team numbers may adjust based on enrollment.
