Holidays in Redmond are more than just gift giving and supporting local. What makes this time of the year so special in Redmond is the truly magical holiday feeling you get from spending time in an authentically unique small town with our vibrant residents, lush landscape and annual traditions.
Kicking off the season is our signature event, Redmond Lights.
There’s nothing quite like an evening stroll under twinkling holiday lights to celebrate the season. Redmond Lights is an unforgettable experience filled with diverse winter cultures, food, festivities, and a series of incredible artist-designed light displays. Redmond Lights is a head-turning extravaganza that reminds you why we are so Geeked Out on our amazing city. The display runs daily from 5 pm to 11 pm beginning December 1st through January 5th. Learn more about the event here.
Elsewhere in Downtown, you can browse shoes, jewelry, gemstones, clothing, art, gifts, books, and more–There’s no limit to what you can find shopping in Redmond, and unlike the merchandise in malls, shopping here is unique, high quality and supports a local small business owner.
Active events, anyone? Burn off those Thanksgiving calories at one of our two trail runs this month. Our annual Redmond Reindeer Romp takes place December 4th and the Santa Bear run takes place two weeks later on the 18th. This is a great way to Geek Out on Local while staying active and spreading holiday cheer during the holiday season!
From a decorated Downtown to local holiday-themed runs, December in Redmond is simply seasoned with fun activities that will bring you a child-like glee.
