Singapore Airlines and Vedic Culural Center proudly present Ananda Mela: Joyful Festival of India. Ananda Mela is the largest Cultural festival in the Pacific Northwest showcasing the richness and diversity of incredible India.
Ananda Mela is a wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty and artistry of India. From Live music and dance to traditional Indian cuisine , arts and crafts , fun activities for kids , during July. Also at Ananda Mela there will be visual art exhibition, demonstrations, displays, various competitions (cooking , Chess etc), magicians, children’s activities, pony rides, community organization booths, and irresistible shopping opportunities to engage all attendees from start to finish!
Ananda Mela is a outdoor festival held at the Redmond City Hall campus, drawing around 12,000 attendees over a glorious summer weekend and is sure to have something for the whole family. This year will mark the 10th anniversary of Ananda Mela.
Key features of this year’s event.
This year’s will feature a lot of VIPs and dignitaries. Notably, Mr. John Marchione, Mayor of City of Redmond will kick-off the festival on Saturday. Mr. Sanjay Panda (Hon. Consul General of India, San Francisco) will be the Chief Guest for this year and will speak on Saturday evening.

Singapore Airlines will host a lucky draw for free tickets and many discounts at this event.
The centerpiece of the festival will be the exhibition of India Culture in the form of Vedic Village. The theme for this year is Perfect Life Through Vedic Culture – Mind, Body, Soul. The Vedic Village will features arts and crafts of India, immersive arts demonstration and soulful music on a special Vedic stage, ayurvedic cooking demo, interactive activities such as mix your own spices, aromatherapy, Cows and Mother Earth.
Apart from this, the event will be a lot of fun for kids with bouncies, clown show, balloons twisting, pony rides, face painting and much more.The event is successful because of incredible participation from over 80 business and non-profit organizations. They add to the flavor and richness of the event with incredible shopping opportunities, enriching information about their community involvement and learning opportunities all around.
Finally, it is never complete without a visit to the food court. In fact, the aroma draws you, where ever you are in the vicinity. Many delicacies and variety of traditional and street food of India will be on the offering. Chole Bature, Bombay Chaat, Pav Bhaji/ Dabeli, South India Thali, Bengali sweets to mention a few.Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity.
