Ganesh Utsav – 2022 is a FREE community event being organized in the natural environs of Redmond City Hall’s sprawling lawns (with enclosed tents to protect from elements), with an eight feet Ganesha idol (specially designed and brought from India). On the first day morning, we will have Ganesh Pooja followed by free prasadam for all Pooja participants with a variety of entertainment in the afternoon. The following day we will have more performances culminating in Dol Tasha and nimajjan (immersion) of Ganesha in the river – we will make it an unforgettable experience both from a spiritual perspective and a festive community event where we all come together to celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi.

Key Point:

  • All pooja participants will be provided with Clay Ganesha, Pooja material, and prasadam, and a priest will conduct the pooja.
  • To be environmentally conscious, we will provide the Ganesh in such a way so that it will grow into a sapling once you start watering.
  • Pooja area and the stage will all be covered to protect from the elements.
  • No linguistic affiliation. It is an all-India event, and people from all regions are welcome to participate.
  • Entertainment on both days with local & outside artists in various Indian languages.
  • Nimajjan with dol Tasha and dances.
  • Admission, parking, and prasadam are all free.
  • Vendor stalls and food courts to create a mela experience
