This is your special time to play and connect with your kiddo while enjoying a variety of activities\, including coloring\, toys\, games\, and more. It’s a perfect opportunity to bond with your child\, meet other families\, and engage in creative play in a safe and welcoming environment. Spend the morning making memories\, having fun\, and connecting with your community! \nThis is an unsupervised activity and an adult must be present with children at all times. SUMMARY:SRA Row for A Day
DESCRIPTION:Row for a Day (RFAD) is a quick and fun three-hour program to introduce youth (going into grade 8-12) and adults (age 18 and up) to the sport of rowing.\n​\nBefore shoving off the dock in eight-person boats to row on the water\, everyone will learn key basics on land. On rowing machines\, participants will learn how to use their legs\, back and arms in proper sequence. Next\, in rowing shells held stationary at the dock by volunteers\, rowers will learn how to get in and out of the boats and how to use an oar.\nOnce the basics are covered\, participants will practice their new skills doing team relays on rowing machines and rowing on our beautiful Lake Sammamish waters. SRA’s coaches and experienced volunteers want everyone to fall in love with rowing\, so rowers can expect lots of help and a great time. \nPlease note that youth and adult Row for a Day participants are usually grouped separately. Parents and kids are welcome to sign up for Row for a Day together but should understand that they likely will not be together for most of the event.

DESCRIPTION:Derby Days is an event that is rooted in the spirit of competition that celebrates the uniqueness of Redmond through parades\, races\, contests\, game booths\, carnival rides\, arts\, music\, food and much more! It all started in 1940 as a bike derby and parade for the community to raise money for holiday decorations and athletic equipment. Today\, Derby Days celebrates the spirit of friendly competition and offers all of Redmond an opportunity to enjoy a fun\, summer festival.

DESCRIPTION:Redmond City Hall campus will play host to Ananda Mela: Joyful Festival of India\, presented to you by the Vedic Cultural Center (VCC) of Sammamish in collaboration with the City of Redmond. The founder and visionary leader of Ananda Mela\, Harry Terhanian\, and dozens of tireless volunteers of VCC have worked year-round to offer this beautiful\, free festival to Redmond’s residents and visitors this weekend. Ananda Mela has been conducted annually since 2010. Ananda Mela aims to showcase Indian arts and culture with intricately crafted displays\, entertainment on multiple stages\, participatory activities and contests for everyone\, informative and enlightening presentations\, and other memorable experiences including tasty food and irresistible shopping.

Starting from Redmond’s Marymoor Park\, the Harvest Half is a fast\, flat out-and-back half-marathon that goes west out of Marymoor Park and north on the Sammamish River Trail before returning to the start. Whether this is your first half-marathon\, or you are experienced with this distance\, this 13.1-mile course will give you an opportunity for your running goals to come to fruition. Come support a local race put on by Lake Sammamish Run Club and Seattle United Runners and finish your summer with a bang.
