Snowflake Cut-Out Workshop: Winter Light & Pattern

In this free workshop led by artist Kat Plewa, participants will work with delicate paper softly colored using diluted paint, creating subtle, diffused color effects. They will learn folding and cutting techniques to create traditional snowflake forms, exploring symmetry and repetition.
Finished snowflakes will be used to decorate the windows, creating a seasonal winter installation that brings light and pattern into the space. Children will experiment with color, line, and expression to make portraits that reflect their inner world.
All materials provided. Parent supervision required. Drop-in participation welcome!

Venues for Artists in the Local Area (VALA Eastside) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization based in Redmond, WA, committed to connecting artists to artists, artists to the community, and the community to art. For the last 14 years, VALA has produced the annual Redmond Arts Festival, a 3-day outdoor arts &crafts fair in Redmond Town Center, which takes place in July on the same weekend as Redmond Derby Days.
