There are several transportation options that make it easy to get to and around Redmond—now more connected than ever. The 2 Line Light Rail links Redmond to Seattle’s west side, making it simple to travel across Lake Washington without a car. From Redmond, you can connect to the 1 Line and ride north all the way to Lynnwood or head south to Sea-Tac Airport and even continue on to Federal Way. In addition, Redmond offers easy access to SR 520 and I-405 for drivers. Redmond features extensive bike lanes, pedestrian paths, local bus routes, and carpool and rideshare options—making it easy to get around sustainably and efficiently.

The City of Redmond has partnered with Circuit to drive community connection through local microtransit! This on-demand, free, all-electric ride service helps residents and visitors get around Downtown Redmond and Education Hill easily, affordably, and sustainably.

The 2 Line is your ticket to effortless travel, now fully connecting the Eastside to Seattle. You can ride from Downtown Redmond and Marymoor Village through Bellevue and across Lake Washington—all the way into Seattle’s International District/Chinatown station. Once you’re in Seattle, you can easily transfer to the 1 Line to travel north to Lynnwood or south to SEA Airport and beyond—making car-free travel across the region easier than ever.
