Pop-Up Dog Parks!

Exciting News for Pet Parents!

Attention all dog lovers in Redmond! Pop-up dog parks are back for 2026, with two locations open this spring—and they’re barking with excitement!

Why Pop-Up Dog Parks?

With the demand for dedicated and accessible spaces for pets and their owners on the rise, the City of Redmond is responding to the community’s needs. Following the successful introduction of the first pop-up dog park at Luke McRedmond Park in Downtown Redmond in 2023, the city continues its efforts to provide opportunities for furry friends to frolic and play at two established locations.

The Selection Process

During the 2022 budget process, dog parks emerged as a high priority need identified by the Redmond community. In response, Redmond Parks and Recreation introduced an off-leash dog area at Luke McRedmond Park in 2023.

Luke McRedmond Park was selected for its proximity to housing, parking, bus routes, trails, and its spacious lawn area. Community feedback from the initial pop-up park led to the addition of Hartman Park as a second location, and both sites now return for 2026.
