Kitanda Espresso and Açaí

About Us
Kitanda was founded in 1998 as a Brazilian corner store called Sendex. They were known for selling various products from Brazil, such as groceries, flip flops, and magazines, in the heart of the University District in Seattle, WA. Fast forward to 2002, they moved to the suburbs, established their new home in Kirkland, implemented a coffee shop to our small market concept, and changed their name to Kitanda. Since then, they have opened many stores and built a strong reputation for offering a wide variety of unique flavored specialty foods and beverages like the naturally gluten-free Kitanda Bread, Organic Brazilian coffee drinks, Acai Bowls and smoothies, and various unique pastries.
