About Us

In June 2020, we opened a store in Champaign, IL, aiming to enhance homes with the simple addition of plants. Our connection to plants stems from our upbringing in Vietnam, surrounded by tropical greenery. We appreciate how plants symbolize life and contribute to a serene atmosphere. Both University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign graduates, Long earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2016. After working in chemistry-related roles, he shifted to the world of plants due to the positive connections made with Plantify customers. Guiding customers to find their ideal plants brings us immense joy. Giang, who obtained a Ph.D. in Communications from UIUC in 2022, started her career as a UX researcher in Seattle, WA. In December 2022, Long opened the current Plantify store in Redmond.
