Art Reception: “Astitva: Giving Identity to Indian Artists” Hosted by VALA Eastside

May 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join VALA Eastside and Curator Priyanka Bohra at an Opening Reception for “Astitva: Giving Identity to Indian Artists,” a special Memorial Day Weekend Exhibition!

Art has the extraordinary power to transcend language, politics, and distance.

“Art as Heritage, Expression & Memory” is not just an exhibition—it is a movement to connect communities across the globe through the shared language of color, form, and emotion.

This Memorial Day Weekend, step into a gallery experience where art becomes a bridge between India and the Pacific Northwest, inviting Redmond, Seattle, and the Eastside’s vibrant community to witness stories from across the ocean. In a world growing increasingly divided, art reminds us of our shared humanity. This showcase will include original works & reproductions from artists across India and the Pacific Northwest.

This initiative is led by Priyanka Bohra— an artist, storyteller, and cultural ambassador—who is volunteering her time to represent emerging and established Indian artists on a global platform.
