In This Place: How Poetry Connects Us to the Past

Learn about Poetry with the Redmond Historical Society! Drop in any time between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 9th to learn about “ekphrasis” as a literary device by responding to an item or photo on display.

  • Allow 30-45 minutes to learn about Redmond’s history, view poems from our collections, and complete the activity in our office.
  • Participants leave with a completed poem, and have the option to submit their poem for display during National Poetry Month (April).
  • Light refreshments available! Missed the event? This activity will be offered during our regular open hours through March 20th. We are open M/T/W 9:30 to 1:00, and 2:00 to 4:30.
