Thrive: Queer Joy & Protest – Opening Reception

June 1 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

KN94/95 + Masks required

June is Pride Month! Join VALA in celebrating the opening of “Thrive: Queer Joy & Protest,” on display at VALA Art Center. Hours: Sat/Sun 11-2.

About the Exhibit: “Thrive” shows how hope, grief, joy, and rage are interwoven in the queer experience of not just surviving, but actively working to change the world around us and demanding a better future for all. From the mundane and silly, to the cerebral and heartbreaking, queer lives cannot be contained by any one piece of art and we invite you to view each of these pieces as entry points to ask for more. Thrive asks: How are our lives interconnected? What are you willing to fight for? What will you find joy in right now to sustain that fight?
