The Sammamish River Bridge

For a stunning sunset selfie, head to the Sammamish River Bridge, where the tranquil water and glowing sky create a picture-perfect backdrop. Start at Redmond City Hall, head west on NE 85th Street, and you’ll find an overpass with breathtaking views of the Sammamish River, framed by lush greenery. Golden hour light makes this spot ideal for a romantic silhouette or a reflective portrait.

Pro Tip: Stop by River Trail Roasters, right across from City Hall, to grab a cozy coffee before your photo session—then sip and stroll!

Timeless Moments at the Redmond Clock Tower

Located in O’Leary Park at 78 NE Leary Way, the Redmond Clock Tower is a charming and historic landmark that makes for a unique and classic selfie spot. Standing tall as a tribute to Redmond’s rich past, the clock serves as a symbol of time, tradition, and the city’s evolution. Whether you’re capturing a nostalgic moment or simply enjoying the scenic surroundings, this iconic structure offers a perfect blend of heritage and beauty.

A Romantic Reflection

For a truly magical and romantic selfie, head to the Buoyant Pavilion at Downtown Park (16101 Redmond Way). This stunning floating sculpture features a mirrored ceiling that reflects the surrounding beauty, creating a dreamlike photo backdrop. The gentle flow of water along its rods adds a serene, artistic touch, making it perfect for a peaceful, intimate moment. As night falls, the pavilion transforms with vibrant LED lights and digital projections, wrapping around the structure for a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind selfie opportunity.

A Slice of History & Charm

Nestled in Marymoor Park, the windmill stands as a nod to Redmond’s rich history. Originally part of Willowmoor Farm, owned by banker and developer James Clise in the early 1900s, the windmill was inspired by the Clise family’s love for Dutch windmills. During a visit to the Netherlands, they were so taken by the iconic structures that they had one built near the Sammamish Slough upon their return. While the windmill was mainly for aesthetic purposes, it was also capable of grinding grain and pumping water. Today, it remains a charming and unique spot for a romantic selfie, with its rustic, timeless appeal standing out against the natural beauty of Marymoor Park.
