Following the exciting grand opening of the Link 2 Line on April 27th, we’re thrilled to invite you to join the Overlake Intercultural District Passport Challenge! From April 29th to June 22nd, hop on the 2 Line to Overlake Station and embark on a journey exploring local businesses, indulging in diverse cuisines at renowned restaurants, strolling through the new Esterra Park, and accumulating points for exciting prizes. Explore restaurants, shops, parks, and more throughout the Overlake area. “Check in” at each location to earn points. Several businesses are offering special deals and discounts – just for challenge participants (in these cases, the business will provide you with a code to unlock the check-in points and their special offer)!

Watch your points add up! The more locations you visit, the more points you collect, giving you the chance to win more prizes. Collect points for a chance to win weekly prize drawings, or be entered to win the grand prize on June 22nd!

It’s easy to play, and you don’t need to download an app! As you accumulate points by visiting different locations throughout the Overlake Intercultural District neighborhood, you’ll earn entries into our prize drawings. Public spaces are worth one point, local businesses are worth two points, featured businesses (with special discount offers) are worth five points, and an overnight stay at a hotel is worth 20 points! Every ten points you earn is another entry in the weekly drawings for prizes.

Future Expansion Plans

The opening of the 2 Line’s Overlake Station on April 27th marks just the beginning of its expansion. In 2025, the 2 Line will expand to connect into Seattle and Mercer Island via I-90, and continue east to Marymoor Park and Downtown Redmond.
